When it comes to spiritual things, I have a number of passions.  I love getting lost in the Bible, learning new things about God’s divine plan for our world and it’s people.  I love the history of creation, and how God still reveals himself to us today through the world around us.  I love seeing how that plan was revealed from Genesis to Revelation, and how through it all, God is faithful to his people.

Above all, I love the gospels.  Within those four books, Jesus – God with us – meets with ordinary, everyday people – and their lives are never the same.  I immerse myself in these stories, imagining every nuance of these encounters – postures, facial expressions, tone of voice, environment, searching for the heart of Jesus.  I read, and re-read, and somehow these individuals begin to tell me a story.  I listen, and I write.  What I write is without a doubt, a fictionalized account of the truth that is presented in the gospels.  My prayer for you is that you will return to the gospel accounts, perhaps with a new perspective on these encounters, but with a deeper desire to encounter the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

In the gospels we meet real people, living ordinary lives, until a few moments in the presence of Jesus changed everything!  A few moments in his presence . . . it can do the same for each of us!
